The 15th National X-ray Diffraction and New Materials Academic Conference and International Centre for Diffraction Data Seminar was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan from July 28th to 30th.

This seminar was hosted by the X-ray Diffraction Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, the Powder Diffraction Professional Committee of the Chinese Crystallographic Society, the Beijing Ceramic Society, the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the International Centre for Diffraction Data (USA). It was organized by the State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy of Central South University, the Key Laboratory of Nonferrous Metal Materials Science and Engineering of the Ministry of Education of Central South University, and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Central South University. The seminar attracted more than 300 experts and scholars from materials science, physics, and related fields at home and abroad to gather together to discuss the latest advances in X-ray diffraction technology and its application in the research and development of new materials.

Speech by Qin Liang, Founder/General Manager of Sutong Technology

During the conference report session, Qin Liang, the founder of Sutong Technology, analyzed the scale of the Chinese scientific instrument market and the methods of repair and maintenance. He also gave a keynote report on “Practice and Thinking on Instrument Repair and Maintenance of University Public Instrument Platforms”, which aroused great interest among the participants, and the academic atmosphere was strong.
